On this website is detailed information about more than 450 North Carolina attractions. Each attraction is listed alphabetically on the home page for the county in which it is located.  If you don't know in which county an attraction is located, use the Attractions Index tab at the top of this page to find your desired destination.  Photos and direct links to the attraction's own website are provided in most cases.

North Carolina's 100 counties are grouped into 10 geographic regions, each with 10 counties, as shown in the color-coded map above.  The regions are listed and numbered starting in the east and moving west and south.  Region One is the Northeast Coastal Plain; Region Ten is the Western Mountains.  Each region is given a general geographic description and some of the larger CITIES located within that region are listed.

To get to the "Home Page" for a particular region, choose the REGION TAB in the column to the left or click on the REGION NAME above or below the map. To go directly from this page to a specific COUNTY, select the COUNTY NAME from the list below.
